STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe that there is One Living and True God, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and that this Triune God created the heavens and the earth and desires to have a relationship with those that he has created.

We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired by the Holy Spirit but written through the hands of men. They are the infallible truths for faith and life today and forever and will lead one to salvation.

We believe in God the Father, and that he is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love; that he hears and answers prayer; and that he saves from sin and death all who come to him through Jesus Christ his Son.

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in his virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, his substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, his ongoing intercession for his people, and his personal and visible return to earth.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came from the Father to make mankind aware of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells those who are in Christ and that he is a helper, teacher and guide. We believe he gives gifts to all Christians in order to build up God’s Kingdom on earth today.

We believe that all People Sin through their fleshly nature and choice and therefore, are under condemnation by a holy and perfect God; yet God made provision for our sins to be forgiven by his grace through Christ’s redemptive sacrifice on the cross. But we must repent and confess our sins to him and accept his Son as Savior to be saved.

We believe that the Church is universal, and is a living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and all those who are Disciples of Christ belong to the church. The church exists to bring honor and glory to God and to share the message of salvation in Christ.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ included two ordinances for the church:

·        Baptism –Baptism is practiced by immersion and identifies us with Christ.

·        Communion – We believe that communion is open to all followers of Christ.

We believe in the return of Christ to establish his Kingdom on earth and then to bring judgment to those outside of Christ and eternal reward for those in Christ.

We believe that Eternal Life will be in heaven or hell. God created man to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God in hell or eternally together with God in heaven. We believe that man can only enter into heaven by God’s grace.

We believe that the New Testament is the final revelation of God to mankind.

We believe that marriage is sacred and is defined in scripture to only be a union between one man and one woman as their gender was defined at birth. No one in a known relationship that deviates from that which is holy and sacred in scripture will be allowed to be in any leadership position or ministry position of the church as it is deemed sinful in the Word of God.

We believe that human life is sacred and begins at conception and is to be defended and protected in the womb and throughout the rest of life. Abortion is taking the life of an unborn child. We believe that children are a blessing from God and are to be protected from any form of abuse or molestation or abandonment. The church has a zero tolerance policy for any person, whether staff, member, volunteer or visitor who harms a child or leads them into sin. That person will face judgment from the church.

We believe that sex outside of marriage is immoral and will bring spiritual discipline and judgment upon those involved. According to I Thessalonians 4:1-8 those who reject the moral instructions given by Christ reject God himself.

We believe that all morality originates from and is defined in the Word of God. Moral principles taught in scripture are not temporary and cannot be redefined by man. Whenever there is a conflict between the church’s position and any new legal standard for marriage or morality, the church’s statement of faith and the New Testament will govern us.
